The color of safety

We want to make security so simple you don’t even have to think about it. The bar at the top of your message comes in two colors which alert you to suspicious e-mails:

• Red: This means the message appears to be a “phishing” or fraudulent e-mail.
• Yellow: The message is from someone who's not on your contacts list. (If the "unrecognized sender" is actually a friend of yours, clicking “Mark as Safe” teaches Windows Live Hotmail to always recognize them as a known contact.)

Easily manage multiple Hotmail accounts

Have more that one Hotmail account? Now you can log in once, and easily switch between other accounts just by linking them via your Windows Live account settings. 

Search your inbox, search the Web

One search box at the top of Windows Live Hotmail gives you the power. Find the perfect image, the latest news from the Web, or a particular e-mail message you got last year.

Don’t type, click!

Got a message you want to send to more than one person? Click the “To” button in the message you’re writing to see a list of the people in your address book. Scroll down and click on the people you want to add. Easy!
